The Taste and Smell Clinic is staffed by Dr. Robert Henkin and consultant physicians in neurology and neuroradiology from the George Washington University Medical Center. Physicians in training from all over the world spend time at The Clinic to learn clinical and research aspects of taste and smell dysfunction. Physicians are supported by a nutritionist, specifically trained in dietary and nutritional problems associated with taste and smell dysfunction. The Clinic also employs support staff to handle clinical and research matters, all insurance claims for patients, clinical personnel who perform assays on patients' biological fluids, and research personnel who perform research studies dealing with mechanisms of taste and smell function. Dr. Henkin and his staff are actively involved not only in evaluation and treatment of taste and smell disorders but also in research into mechanisms underlying the nature of these disorders. Home
